Turbo issues

I have a 6.0 with just over 103k. I have had a squeak in the turbo for a few months now. I took the intake bout off and it was super clean, tight and saw no loose, chipped or anything out of place. I will say I am not a mechanic. I am 99% sure it is the turbo squeaking. It is slowing getting louder and noticeably the last week. I only know of the dealer and I am sure they will say replace it. Do I replace it before it blows or will it get louder and louder? I have a friend that can do the work. However, I don't want to but a turbo unless I am 100% certain that is the issue, but don't want to damage my engine either.

Thanks in advance for reading and replying.
