Awful gas mileage

I am getting awful gas mileage in my truck! Below 10mpg around town and not towing anything. The digital reading in the trucks that show the miles til empty never reads above 249 miles when I fill the truck up. Many times I do not get above 225 miles to a tank but on occasion it happens.

Truck does seem to struggle a little going up hills and I have to push the pedal down pretty good to go up them.

My truck is completely stock and has nothing added into it. I have a bully dog programmer but it has not been hooked up for almost a year

I appreciate any info in advance. Thanks

Check for sticking breaks, hpo leaks, how many miles on your truck? Injectors could be plugged, are your tires at the right psi?

A few things could contribute to low mpg such as clogged ebp tube, low ficm voltage, and a dirty turbo.
