rough running at highway speeds
Hey guys, got a problem. I have a 2005 6.0 that I bought used with 150,000 last summer. Had stiction, used archoil which cleared it right up. As it's been getting colder it's a little tougher to start, but isles smoothly within 10 seconds.
Today I was driving home from work, and after about 10 miles at highway speeds the truck started shudderring. I pulled onto a side road and drove a bit, then got back on the highway and accelerated up a bridge. Plenty of power at first, but by the time I got to the top it had lost all power, slight blue smoke, and shuddering pretty bad. Put in neutral and coasted down, truck shuddered in idle, pulled over and tried to rev it but just got more smoke, no real engine speed. Idling down the bridge I had turned on torque pro, everything looked good, ficm voltage good, hoop pressure good, all elsel looked good. After stopping engine scanned for codes got p0263, cylinder 1 contribution. Waited a few minutes then started back up cause I was a mile or two from home. A little rough at first, but then smoothed out and ran fine home. No hard acceleration on the way home, just took it easy.
Looks like maybe an injector, just not sure why cleared up?
