HELP which 6.0 do I have needing head gaskets

First let me say thanks in advance for any help that you guys can give me. I have a 2006 F350 Harley Davidson truck in need of head gaskets. This is not my first head gasket job on a 6.0 but the first time I bought parts from aftermarket dealer. My truck was built on 01/09/06 and the engine serial number is 6719954 and with all that said Rudy's diesel say's I need 18mm head gaskets, so that what I bought from them. When I called Ford they say it has 20mm dowel gaskets. Ford told me if I had a yellow round dip stick and from going off the truck vin it came out with 20mm dowels and not 18mm. But what I'm reading with a engine serial# of 6719954 and truck built date of 01/09/06 it should have the 18mm. I know I can pull a valve cover and get the casting number but I'm still driving the truck and just wanted to get all the parts here before I start. Can someone help with this or has anyone else ever ran into this problem to?

It seems like you have 18mm. Commonized engines started on January 11, 2006 with a serial number of 6,723,722 and above.

That's what I'm thinking I should have the 18mm, but I don't know why when ford runs the vin it comes up with the 20mm gaskets. I was going to order new heads but guess I'll have to wait till I pull a valve cover.

If you buy new 18mm "ARM" ford heads they will come with 20mm dowels and 20mm gaskets (they use the old hold downs and rocker boxes however).

The ring oil dipstick started in 06 but does not correlate to a commonized engine, as you already know you have to pull a valve cover to find out.

if you PM me your VIN I will double check your engine serial number
