Weird problem !! EGR Valve ?

When I run my truck for about 10 miles to get it warm! While driving I keep my foot steady and keep the RPM 2000, what it does , it just increase the RPM to 2200 and then go down ,and so .. by itself like the transmission is slipping ...

When I do a complete stop , it start to idle really rought and I have to hit the gas pedal to make it stop !!!

It depends on how the tune is written. I think some tunes can delete the EGR.

I was told yesterday , that it could be my fuel filters that needs to be changed !! I bought the truck 14 months ago! I did not change the filters since then ! I dont even know if the owner before did it so ...

Could it be that ?

Minimally - if they havent been changed - then it would be a good idea to do so. Remember - you have 2 of them. Once under the drivers side door tucked up under the frame and the other top of the engine.
