Cool Sometimes long crank & white smoke before start

The odd time overnight I am getting long cranking time & white smoke coming out of my tailpipes before engine fires up, once running it runs like a dream. Any suggestions? I just replaced hoop & regulator.

Are you waiting on your glow plugs to warm up? I know mine throws a nice white puff if I dont.

Oh yes always do, the white smoke is while cranking before start after glow plugs go out
