6.0 HELP Please...

I have an 03 F-250 6.0.. Truck starts and idles fine. While I am driving the truck seems to buck and lets out puffs of black smoke. I have a superchips tuner installed and returned it back to the stock settings and still the same thing. After I stomp the pedal and release it while driving I hear a flutter sound I have never heard before. (Hard to explain) If I really stomp on it it will blow tons of black smoke. I used my tuner to pull codes and the codes are PO- 603, P-1000, P-132. I cleaned the EGR valve and Installed new O-rings and gasket. No luck... I took it to the dealer because I only have 60k miles and they told me I voided my waranty by removing the cat to put a Silverline Exhaust on. I am in a pickel and any advice would help.. Thanks in advance.... Rich.

EGR valve is dirty causing the problem. You can take it out and clean it, or you can block the EGR off. Get an SCT programmer with custom tunes to turn the EGR system off and you won't have that problem anymore. Hope this helps some.

Well, I solved all my problems today. Bought a Toyota Tundra SR5 / long bed..... Gave me $12,500 on a trade for my Ford..... The 5 year nightmare ends Tuesday when I pick up the Toyota. Good luck with your Fords, And thanks for the Advice.

12,5! ouch, don't these book for around 20k on trade? They must have thought you were desperate or something, that seems low. Last time I KBB'd my truck it was worth around 20k for trade. And 26 or 27 suggested retail, if i remember correctly.

I really loved my Ford.. beautiful truck..... I had the engine replaced by Ford with less than 20k due to head gasket, and rear main seal. I had the Lariet Package crew cab and the dealer had the truck more than I did. The book Value at trade was 18,500. My warantee is up on July 3 and I cant afford to keep fixing this truck. I lost my shirt on this truck. I am shocked that all the problems Ford has with the 6.0 the would not give me any deal whatsoever on a new truck. The trade was still 12,5.... I could not afford another 50k truck that was going to leave me stuck on the side of the road.

If you go to a different dealer that doesn't know your problems you will get top trade in value for your truck. i would not trade it in for what there giving you, it is worth way more!!!!

talk about drastic measures.
I had a Toyota once...caved in the tailgate stepping up on it (I weigh 215 lbs)...not a good work truck at all.
