im thinking about buying a egr cooler delete kit for my 2007 f250 6.0l powerstroke???? but aint that gonna trigger the service engine light???? or should i get one of them bulletproof upgraded egr cooler:dunno::dunno:???
It will set the wrench light, the only way around it is to buy a tuner and turn it off. if you are not going to do custom tuning or if you have diesel emission testing done where you live I would go with one of the bullet proof ones.
Some trucks get a CEL and some don't, it depends on your trucks PCM flash version. If your state doesn't have emission testing there's no logical reason to have EGR cooler. Keep in mind a lot of guys keep their EGR valve electrically connected after doing a delete as there can be issues with fan clutch engagement and turbo vane stroke at start up if the EGR valve is missing.
