Runs but no power

Ok so I could really use some help here. 2003 6.0l stock other than egr delete and head studs.
Ok the other day I went to start my truck in the morning but it acted like the battery's were dead(nothing was left on) I jumped it and it started up alittle rough. I drove it for about 5 min then when I was going up a big hill it just wouldn't speed up then it cut out and died like it ran out of fuel, it was very low on fuel but shouldn't have run out. I checked the fuel filter and it had fuel in it. I put some diesel in the tank and it started up after a couple tries. Ever since then it's been starting real rough and has maybe half the power. It drives and acts completely normal, the turbo spools when it should, sounds like it should, but It has no power. My initial thought was its not getting any boost but I'm not sure.

Sorry so long, thanks in advance for any help.

I will check the ficm tomorrow. So I didn't mean to put that I had an egr delete, I took that out and cleaned it today. Looks like it needs new o rings pretty badly.
I took it out for a drive today and it has almost no pull in 1st gear. It spools up and starts puffin soot then shifts into 2nd at about 3k rpms and dumps a wall of smoke.

Well it stopped smoking so much and I have about half power back. Still seems like I'm not getting anywhere near full boost. I still need to test the ficm.
No one has Any ideas?

check the ficm. If it comes back fine then you might want find somebody that has a scan tool. It could be anything from a dying hpop or a veins in the turbo stuck, or a bad ficm. Without a scan tool its really hard to see what is going on.

FWIW if you have bad batteries then it will kill your ficm. So if you end up needing a FICM, get both batteries load tested independently.

I actually just replaced my battery's today because they kept dying on me. In some research I learned the battery's dying will kill the ficm, I haven't had the chance to test it yet but I'm going to try for tomorrow. If its bad ill do the at home re solder fix and see if that solves my problems. The new oring kit fpr egr solved half my problems, now I just need to solve the other half. Lol
