Head Question

Can the heads be replaces without removing engine or the cab?

I have yet to try doing a set of heads with the engine in the truck but have pulled a few engines out to do them. The engine does come out pretty easy once you strip everything down and remove the motor mounts. I might have an advantage too most as I use a fork lift so my lift angle is very adjustable. I'm curious though as to how long it takes you guys to complete the job roughly without pulling the engine?

A few days roughly. Headgaskets on an F-series pay anywhere between 22-25 hours depending on other factors. I prefer to have an engine crane to guide the heads in. The drivers side takes some weaseling.
