Engine miss and p0263 code

When engine is under operating temp it has a hard miss/ buck but when the truck is warm you can only slightly hear that it has the miss and doesn't buck.. it seems to miss more the softer I am on the truck. Stillbseems to have plenty of power.. any ideas? P0263= cylinder 1 contribution/balance

Majority of the time, it's a bad injector. Could also be harness problem also.

Could be where the harness comes out of the FICM but I was referring to the actual injector harness that plugs into each injector. I'd say you have a #1 injector going bad though. What year truck? How many miles?

04 with early motor. 170k. as far as going about getting a new injector should I only buy ford parts or can i go to the local parts house? I have recently put in "Hot shot" supposed to be stiction eliminator but it says it could take up to 4k miles to fix. Another thing when I start my truck my ficm has declined down to 44v but its always up to 48-48.5 after the alternator kicks in. But we've load tested my batteries and they check out.

Hot shots will help with stiction but not a contribution issue. You need to be able to do a buzz test on the injectors. Each injector will click in sequence. Do you have Auto Enginuity or a scan tool with that capability?

I don't guess. I just have my edge CTS... So it isn't from stiction. What exactly do they mean by contribution ?

Contribution means just that, that cylinder isn't contributing. Stiction is when the spool valve get varnished up and start to stick. Issue you're having is either a wiring issue or injector itself.
