Possible Turbo problem....

I have an 04 f350 and I am having a very recent boost/power issue that I could use some help with. I just got done pulling my boat back from the lake and stopped at a store for 3 minutes. Came back out, started the truck and now it wont build boost past 5 or so pounds and then blows massive amounts of black smoke. When the boost goes past 5 lbs it sounds like it is by passing. The truck has no unusual noises and seems to run smooth and normal. Not a diesel expert and I am learning as I go, so any help would be appreciated.

Check your boots at the CAC and the output side of the compressor. They sometimes have a tendency to blow off. Your turbo will still spool up but supply very little to no boost!

Thank you! As for an update, it was the intercooler on the hotside. Missed it on my initial inspection and thats what sent me down the wrong path. Found when i started taking the piping off. Thanks again for the help.
