6.0 Start and Instantly Dies

This weekend was towing a travel trailer. Shut off my truck when my buddies truck blew a transmission line. Truck was running like normal when I shut it off but when we went to leave the truck wouldn't start, it would just crank. We tried jump starting it but the truck wouldn't fire. I changed out the Cam Positioning Sensor and at that point the truck fired right up. After about 10 minutes of idling the truck died. I started it up again and was able to keep it running with my foot on the accelerator just barely reving it up but once I release the pedel, the truck stalls out. There is no check engine light so I didn't check for engine codes. I will check for engine codes this afternoon. Is there a throttle positioning sensor or accelerator pedel positioning sensor that might be causing this or should I focus on some other problems.
