What is causing the sputtering and hesitaing first run of the day??

So over the last couple months ive noticed when I first start my truck (engine not warmed up) I get up to speed and when I lay off accelerator a bit and wow does the motor buck and kick and hesitate.....once motor is at a good operating temp it doesn't seem to happen anymore. Is this a serious issue? Seems to be getting a bit worse, what am I looking at for repairs or where should I start looking?

One word, stiction. OK, maybe a few more. Also, ensure your FICM volts are good. It wouldn't hurt to clean the EGR valve as well (I didn't see the delete in your sig).

I have a bulletproof egr cooler installed last year, ans my ficm was just done...shes showing 48.5 at all times. So stiction is the issue? Just did an oil change with amsoil.....I can clean the egr valve myself, should I get some REV X? Hard to find in Ontario I think

So I found Rev X at one of these spots, thanks for the link. And by the way the stuff worked awesome, within 50 kms of driving the issue with stiction has disappeared, this stuff really does work, thanks again for the info
