FICM Problem or not

I am new to this site and my first power stroke. On my Programmer I have had a couple of codes show up. One was FICM Performance and the others were on all 8 cylinders low circuit voltage. I pull the FICM to test the voltage and it was at 48.6 + or - a decimal. The truck is running real sluggish at times and blowing a lot of black smoke with only 6 or 7 pounds of boost on a small incline. Sometimes it blows constant while going up the incline in the road. I just changed the oil and fuel filters and the batteries are 8 months old with 12.7 volts. If anyone has any input would be greatly helpful.

Load test each battery individually first. If they check ok then look at your ficm voltage key on engine off. Then compare with the reading key on engine on (cold engine). There is alot of good info in the 6.0 bible in the stickies... good luck, others will chime in soon.

Both of the batteries have tested fine on a load test. The voltage with the key on engine off was 48.7 and with the engine on was about the same only + or - decimal.
