2005 6.0 engine and turbo surging....HELP!!

Hey guys, I just bought a new rig truck and this time im trying a 6.0 While driving it home, I starting to notice at about half to 3/4 throttle in any gear (it is an automatic) that the engine is surging, but still accelerating... the turbo boost gauge will surge up and down a few psi damn near following the the engine rpm up and down as Im on the throttle.... It will start and idle fine and you wont notice it while easy driving... When you set the cruise at 75 or so if doesn't miss a beat, but you can watch the boost gauge and see it moving up and down slightly and also hear in whistling up and down....

The guy I bought it from told me the dealer told him his was possibly a plugged up egr anyone had this? suggestions??? HELP!!!!?????

Thanks in advance everyone!!!!

I had that surging but slightly different than what you are describing. Mine happened during times of highest fuel demand ie when in overdrive I would give it gas but not enough for it to downshift, regardless of vehicle speed it would surge to the point of bucking sometimes.

Turned out to be injectors...3 of them if I remember correctly. I did an EGR delete at the same time that was done just to eliminate that problem in the future.

I hope someone else can chime in and help you out
