Angry another dead 6.0

k just had a post with my truck smoking white a little bit @16k miles...

drivin today and truck started to surge intensely and what looked like steam was coming from my intake and exhaust. so i pulled over and the truck was fighting to stay alive but then died. there was coolant all over my engine and out of my exhaust. meantime truck has been towed to the dealer. head gasket? EGR cooler?

k guy from the dealership called me this afternoon and told me that pieces of my turbo broke apart and were sucked into my engine compartment, causing motor failure. he said there is also and EGR related problem too. does this sound at all right? this truck is nearly brand new and i have never run a program so it doesn't make any sense to me. any ideas?

Pieces of the turbo could never make it into the engine. It's possible that something passed through the turbo and wrecked it but schrapnel would never make it all the way through the intercooler and into the engine. It sounds like the EGR cooler is blown for sure. Unless you have an aftermarket intake you should have no warranty worries. Hopefully your dealer has a good diesel tech.

all stock with the exception of exhaust. i didnt think that anything from the turbo could make it in the engine either. the guy used a term to describe the turbine wheel....not dusted... but destroyed lol.
