Replacement heads

How much do they cost? A reputable shop told me our 06 has both heads cracked.. engine has been blowing coolant out, no loss through engine, just bubbling... exhaust getting into the coolant somehow.

30k miles ago, we had ARP studs, new gaskets, BPD egr cooler and replacement turbo installed, its just never ending.

I just installed a new BPD radiator and BPD water pump, obviously didnt fix the problem. Shop has it totally torn down, both heads are cracked, from the prior egr failure when Ford replaced it "out of my own pocket cost". They never checked the heads for sure. Head gaskets are actually fine.

So now i just paid $2800 for gaskets and a BPD oil cooler full kit, probably $3-4k in labor at the shop, it needs at least some injectors if not all 8 if faulty or failing and $900~ PER head. ? WTF is with these motors. This is my work truck but my personal truck too, so 90% of the time, im driving it or my brother. Engine has 4600hrs on it now... 3900 when egr blew first time at 121k miles. We have an 07 F550 with 74k miles on it, 4400 hrs and original egr, head gaskets, oil cooler, etc... same maintenance.

Im in the same boat as you man, my mechanic called, and said that one of my heads is cracked, and a new one from ford cost 1400, plus machine work to the other head so all in all its going to cost about 2 grand just for the heads. sucksssss
