P0401 & P132B and an egr question!

Ok, I have had the IPR, ICP, Turbo, Water Pump and Fan Clutch replaced on this thing since I bought it earlier this year and thought I had the issues worked out of it until last night im heading home and the thing throws the P0401 & P132B codes at me. So since my turbo and VGT solenoid are both brand spanking new I figure I just got a nast EGR valve thats messing with me since its the stock part and this is an 03' excursion.

My question is: Do I have to clean the oring seating area inside the manifold where the egr plugs in?

I pulled the egr today and the orings are starting to fall apart and the egr was coverd in a nice black soot. And the thing looked original.

Yes vacuum out the intake if it has carbon in it. Spray the egr valve with carb cleaner but be careful not to get it in the magnet section. If the O-rings have any damage at all replace them.
The best thing you can do for the egr is: run a fuel supplement in every tank of fuel. Since I started using diesel kleen my egr doesn't even get dirty except for a black haze big big difference plus its better for the fuel system injectors included.

Yes I am running the diesel kleen since I purchased it. So Do I just suck the stuff out of the intake or can I scrub some of the stuff out of the egr mounting area then suck it out? I dont want to ruin any o-ring sealing surfaces.

Yea you can scrape it loose and then vacuum it out.
You do want the bore clean as a whistle so the O-rings slide in without hanging up because if they get nicked they will leak.
Grease up the O-rings and slide the egr back in.

I would also pull your ebp sensor and make sure its not plugging up on you, its on drivers side at valve cover height and connected to the stainless tube to exh manifold. Clean out the tube with a stiff wire and then blow out with compressed air.
