PCM problems

A couple of days ago my 04 started stalling. Read the code on my Insight and it said the "Camshaft position sensor". I figured I would get it to the mechanic and the truck just died. Would not turn over. Now the dealership told me the PCM is fried and I need a new one for $800+. Here's the kicker, it takes a week to get one. Any thoughts? Is this common and is the price correct? How come it takes a week to get a new one. Is this specifically made for my truck? Thanks for any help.

Firestone Air bags

15 K 5th wheel hitch
4" TB Magnaflow (no cat).
Fuel pressure regulator blue spring upgrade
Coolant flush, replaced with Rotella ELC, new T-stat
Performance Machine Coolant filter
Insight CS w/ dash pod

That seems very odd to me. I'd be looking at the FICM before I'd even think of looking at the PCM. Too bad it's at the dealership I'd send you my spare PCM to try out, I'd just have to remember which parts pile it's in. LOL

I monitor the volts on the FICM and has always been right on. I thought maybe I did something by restarting it after it stalled several times.

my cam position sensor went out a month ago. drove to work then no start in morning.
