foreign object in injector!

So after an injector replacement I took it apart to see what was wrong with it. and I am kinda stumped and scared... After taking off the electrical solenoids i tried to take out the oil "shuttle pin" and it was jammed. That makes sense for the injector not passing a buzz test. I just tapped it on my workbench upside down and out came this little piece of metal and the "pin" would move. Now I had a good fight removing this pin but it was scored pretty good in the valleys of the pin. Im gonna try to attach a picture of the Foreign Object next to a 10 mm socket. I hope anybody can tell me where this might have come from...

That looks like a piece of roller bearing from a lifter but I shure don't see how it got there. That had to travel a ways thru the system.

It kind of looks like a keyway or a part of the snap to connect fitting. I still am able to get and maintain 4.8 volts of icp voltage. I'm guessing my hpop is didn't push it through!

Needle bearing from a lifter would have destroyed the lpop gyro gears and torn up the oil cooler screen then finally stopped at ipr probably tearing up HPOP. Could not have gone through oil rails via uppipes. Too many screens.

It is quite possibly a piece from inside the stand-pipe. They do fail, but I don't have one in front of me to see if any parts or pieces would match.
