Turbo issue or egr

I have a 06 and it's been throwing a 299 and 470 402 coeds then I went to drive my truck it fired right up idel fine gave it throttle and wouldn't run past 1500rpm and filled my yard with gray smoke was told I had a stuck turbo so pulled it off the ring was stuck I put my brothers turbo that had low miles and in great shape on the truck ran good for 2 the. Starts to do same thing if its highway crussing low boost and rpm it acts up and sputters if I'm in the throttle it's fine it threw the same coeds again I know the turbo on it now is a good turbo would a stuck egr valve or faulty valve couase this I'm at a loss

So you wasted the time responding to a post just because you want someone to post with proper grammar and spelling. That's a GREAT help. P.S. you need to check your spelling also bud.

Yes, I'd pull the EGR valve to see if its coked up and sticking or not able to close fully.

Yes, I know I wasted my time. We'll call it lashing out at one too many run on sentences. I didn't think it looked right, but that's what I get for relying on spell check

Sorry I did it on my phone in a hurry. I pulled the egr valve it was clean and seemed to function fine. But since I've owned the truck I've had the excessive egr valve code. Witch is the 402 if I remember so my thought was its a bad valve coausing the turbo to suit up and stick.

There is an updated EGR valve version I believe with a stronger return spring.

LOL I hear yah. I've also read posts where I have to read it like five times to get what the person is trying to say. Heck even when I look at a post I just wrote I think what the heck is my brain doing and what does this iPhone think my brain is doing.

And to the OP, after checking your EGR, if you find thats where the problem lies, clean it or replace it and then drive that truck like you stole it, at all times. Babying em to conserve fuel ends up costing more money by causing coked up egr's and seized unison rings. Even the dealership will tell you not to baby it. Good luck
