Died while driving !
Here it is.
Customer truck towed in! 2005 6.0. Said it died like someone reached over and turned off the key. Pulled codes. got a low voltage code and glow plug #8 Circuit. Cleared codes. Glow plug code comes back, but whatever on that for now. So here it is. on crank it takes the Batts right down to 9.8-10.3. He put a new batt in a few weeks ago and I put a new one in yesterday. So load tested we are good on Batts. ( why some diesel owners wont change in pairs is beyond me). Had **** batt terminals soldered in new terminals all the way around. Anyway Scan tool and air test sent me to a high press. oil pump. This while on jump box to keep my voltages up. FICM is all good. Replaced high press. oil pump , changed Oil and filter, fuel pressure and oil pressure on low side all good. My biggest problem is the voltage drop on crank. and No start, No smoke ?????? Has new stand pipes, Updated FICM, All grnd's good. has 201,100 miles on it. It looks like it has worked hard its life. But still in good shape. Any Wiring tests to try and run first? Thanks!
