Red face Extended Start and Loss of Power!?!?!?!?

Hello,

I am new to the Forum world and Hope to find some Help.

I have a Ford F-350 6.0L Diesel, and It has extended cranks and A loss of power.

So far I have Cleaned and lubercaited the turbo, Replaced the Sdandpipes and dummy plugs and the O-rings on the HPOP. I now have the following DTC!

P0069
P0198
P0470
P0671

I am curious I need to replace the Map Sensor, I Wondered If I need to replace the HPOP, or maybe the top O-rings on my Injectors? I am at a loss...It does not over heat, It takes forever to get it to climb or 60-65 and tops out there and the RPS stay around 2,500.

Any thoughts?

Thank You and God Bless!

I just got another code pop up and now it's a crank no start deal... P2285

I suppose the HPOP has gone out...any clues before I spent a paycheck on that?

Hi Tom,
Here are the codes you are getting and what those codes mean... You basically sound like you have several problems with the truck and since you just worked on the truck, it sounds like you still have some wiring disconnected.

P0069 MAP/Baro correlation
P0198 EOT high
P0470 EBP sensor
P0671 Cyl 1 glow plug error
P2285 Injector CNTRL Pressure Senser CKT

You don't say what year your truck is, but based on your replacing the standpipes and dummy plugs, it's somewhere between 2005 - 2007. The P2285 means there is a problem with the signals getting to/from the ICP sensor to the PCM. Double check that you didn't nick/disconnect the ICP sensor on the passenger side valve cover. You need 500 psi in order to fire the injectors and the ICP tells the PCM how much to open/close the Injector Pressure Regulator (IPR) on the HPOP. The HPOP's on the 05-07 trucks are VERY robust and rarely require replacement, so I would look elsewhere. Do you have a diagnostic scanner to monitor ICP and IPR duty cycle?

An 03-04 shouldnt have a EBT sensor code. It was taken out of the 03-04 ECM stategy a while back. Just to be clear, what year does it say is on the door sticker?

I have replaced my HPOP on my truck after it sat a little over a week. I ran beautifully! drove it on the freeway and took it to 90 mph's. I could tell it wanted more but I didn't want to over do it. I drove home and let the truck idle in the driveway while I get ready for a date. then when I came out, the truck had died!?! I sried to start it up agian but all it would do it crank with no start.

I checked the codes and got the following:

P0069
P0098
P0198
P0335
P0336
P0460
P0463
P0470
P0478
P0671
P2285
P2614
P2617

then I cleared the codes and tried starting agian and checked the codes and this is what I have now...

P0069
P0098
P0335
P0671
P2285

ANY THOUGHTS, PLEASE HELP!?!?!
