The best thing to do is get it diagnosed. It might be the turbo veins sticking or the EGR. CPS very RARELY fails on the 6.0. One of the bigger automart chains can probably scan it for you.

I didn't mention on this post the 6.0 is in a F-650. The dealer were this was bought said they did not have the right cable to scan for the trouble The cable is very expensive and they are not going to buy it. I don't know but if it is pricey will an auto parts store have that kind of cable ?
Thanks for any help

F650... Are you sure it's a 6.0...

I know there were Cat 300 and Cummins 5.9 options.

the 650 was available with a 6.0......most had cat or cummins motors but it is available...

definately sounds like a sticking turbo or stuck EGR valve issue...but without the code its tough to be sure...

I unplugged the egr valve and it still bucked . It does feel like the turbo sticking just because it runs like something is turning off then on.off.on Ether it is getting worse or it's the cold weather. Today the light came on just idling and it happened 3 more times in 2 miles. After it warmed up it wasn't as bad but on a 150 mile trip the light came on at least 10 more times and lost the turbo boost every time
