2005 6.0 Fuel Filter Assembly
I was changing my fuel filter(s) today and the small one on top when taken off I noticed a white "washer" with teeth on it at the bottom of the bowl wedged between the black center stem and the wall of the bowl. I pulled it out and it had been like that for so long that it was no longer round. Instead it was oval. I see inside the filter there appears to be teeth were this washer should fit. Additionally, on top of the "black plastic center stem in the bowl with a spring on it", it appears to be broken. It looks like it had 4 plastic slits that went up to a cap with an o-ring around the top. The top was inside the fuel filter itself (I cut it open to get the pieces out). My question is this:
a) what is the name of the "black plastic center stem with a spring on it and a blue o-ring on top" that is inside of the fuel filter bowl on top of the 6.0 the the filter goes over?
b) Does it have a part number?
c) Can you get just this piece.
The last place to change the fuel filter(s) for me was one of those 15 minute oil places and it appears that they broke it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
