Well, the dealership claims that the ICP is fine, and that the oil-pan gasket has failed. $897 to replace that, and then he'll be able to put enough oil in it to diagnose the noise it's making.

WTF would make an oil-pan gasket let go?!?!?

Man, I would say take it to County Line in Burleson. They have always been fair with us on everything. If that is too far talk to Paul Folks at Don Davis Ford.

ive never seen a 6.0 oil pan leak.....its an O ring that sits in a groove.....i dont see it leaking but i suppose its possible....

Honestly i think i would eat the diag (they are gonna charge you weather you fix it or not) and either look at it yourself or find another dealer. If you want to ill walk you through some of the things to look for on the phone as long as you call me on a weekend... PM me for the #

Ok just got off the phone with the service advisor, and the rest of the story comes out.

It's not the oil-pan gasket that has failed like he told me the first time. It's the pan gasket for the HPOP.

Yes, the very same HPOP they replaced 3 months ago....

That should still be covered, 90 days and its bad again would seem as if the Tech may have installed it impropery?

Not to mention the Ex never leaked until after that repair, then I was getting drips in the driveway. Called on it and he said, and I quote, "Diesels just leak, it's like marking their territory."
