Unhappy overnight no start

Bought an 04 f250 6.0 about 5 months ago has ran great till just lately. Drove it home from work on a Thursday got up the next morning and went out and would not start. Turned key on let cycle and cranked a few revs and sounded like batteries were dead. Put charger on pass side battery for five mins fired right up. So figured altenator was bad pulled it had it tested turned out to be bad. Replaced it charged batteries started right up drove it rest of day with no issues. Went to start it next day same thing like batteries were dead jumped it started right up. So it seems to start and run fine after i jump it in the mornings any insight would be helpful. Will answer any questions i can as i am new to diesels.

Get the baterries checked may not have enough cold cranking amps anymore. They usually go bad after two years also my want to check for any frayed wires or grounding wires may be draining the system. When I bought my truck at the beginning of the year I had the same problem ford replaced the batteries just to find out the altenator was bad too

No scanner yet(had to buy daughter new glasses so got to start saving for one again.) Got back from work today checked volts on batteries and both between 12.5 and 12.6 so did a simple load test and one battery dropped to 2 volts as soon as I cycled the key. So assumed bad cell in pass side battery. Pulling it out and taking it to get tested. Thanks for all the hints and help.
