Exclamation Busted block, need help

Well, come to find out my block is busted inside and letting water run out the water jackets and out the oil pan. Does anyone know where I can find a shortblock because I already have new heads just in dire need of a shortblock now. I appreciate any help I can get finding a good shortblock.

There are a lot of vendors, I've read bad things about j & k, nothing about Asheville engines, and I'm sure blackwater might do a short block for you although they only advertise long blocks

I would suggest Blackwater, Jarod is a member of the Org and has done several of our heads. If I need one, that's where I'm going.

Blackwater blueprints the entire long block when they build them and send them out. Pretty impressed with the end product so far.

They were asses to me an wouldn't answer many questions I had so I went somewhere that would. They wouldn't talk or even work with me any knowing they're goin to resale the good stuff in my motor. Asheville is giving me full core return even though block is busted bc he could use the crank and is givin me dealer cost and contacts on other things for the motor that I want

First off Howdy neighbor. You had a jam up rebuilder on Green Ave. there in Orange called ProCell's although they have pretty much just gotten into building only performance engines.

I have been in this buisness a long time and have bought great engines and real stinkers from just about every vendor out there.
An old addage "Never buy nuthin built on a Monday or a Friday" the people factor comes into play.

Good luck on yer project.

I knew about Procell but I knew that he is strictly performance engines so I didn't bother with asking, should've but just didn't. Another reason I went with Asheville is they are warrantying the work for 1 year unlimited mileage so that was another factor. How did you know about Procell? You from the area?
