Need Help
I have a 2003 6.0 powerstroke with 111,000 miles on it. Bought used. You will have to forgive me I do not know all the technical terms so bear with me. The Turbo has went out at 70,000 miles along with the EGR value. At about 90,000 the EGR valve went out again. At 107,000 miles, no more warranty, 4 injecters went out along with the Fuel pump and another EGR valve with no warning what so ever. At 111,000 miles 1 more injector went out. This truck is used lightly nothing like it should be used. Since the injectors went it has pulled a 3 horse trailer 8 miles empty. I just drive it to work and back. I have spent a lot of money on this truck, can not afford to buy a new one ,need my truck and need suggestions. Do I need to put a different injector in the truck ? I have been paying around $600.00 an injector including labor. How long will the new injectors last? Has anyone else had this problem?

Is your truck running stock pcm tuning or a tuner? How are your fuel filters? Is regular maintenance performed on the truck? The injectors are actuated with high pressure oil, and need to have good clean oil and adequate volume ,and good fuel supply or they will fail. Is who ever thats changing your injectors looking into other causes that are occuring to cause injector failure? or just changing injectors out? EGR blockoff will help with EGR valve coking. Just a couple of suggestions and questions to get you started.
