05 6.0 wont start

my o5 acts like it has a mind of its own. most of the time it starts just fine but other times it just turns over. its runs completly fine other wise. ive taken it to the dealership 3 times and they say that there is nothin wrong with it.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

When it just turns over is it cold or warm?

When was the last time you changed the fuel filters?

Edit: Yeesh Paul, that's twice in the last two minutes!!!

mostly when its warm when it does it, but sometimes it will have a long start when its cold. what exaclty is the HPOP? and why couldnt the dealership find a problem?

HPOP is high pressure oil pump and needs to be full and creating pressure to run your injectors.

There are little rubber o-rings that seal everything up...as they go bad, when your motor is warm and everything expands the pump won't hold pressure. And since it's oil pressure that drives the injectors....

And yes, it ain't cheap.

if its an icp prob most likely itll be a d ring or stc fitting that connects the branch tube to the hpop. very very common!
