2006 Turbo/waste gate flutter

for the first few miles after hard acceleration when i let off the pedal after seeing High Boost.. I hear a fludder... i feel like it is turbo/waste gate related and it last just long enough for the boost to drop.. like the waste gate is sticking???

is this common? wen truck is cool/cold first few miles.???

Waste Gate

My 05 6.0 does it sometimes after a hard acceleration if you arent listening carefully you might not hear it. Sounds like fluddered cough. Dont worry its normal It just the way the new waste gate is designed.

flutter

the noise you are hearing is air rushing back out through your air filter housing. After a hard acceleration boost is high, you let off, all the unusable boost has to go somewhere. In other words all the air the compress wheel was drawing in has now where to go except out because the turbine side has lost it's driving force. It is nothing to worry about, 6.0 will do it, 6.6 duralax will do it and it will be come louder with a free flow intake!!! you will grow to love it!
