can it be more than one problem ?

The work truck I drive is a 06 F650 psd 6.0 . 13,000 miles I have no codes to give you on this. When we got it new the first problem was with the wiring chaffing. That was fixed and ran great for a couple months. The new problem which is happing more and more often. I can be sitting still or driving 60 mph and the turbo dropps out {have no boost] When this happens it will do differnt things.
1. Just before I loss power I can hear the engine change tones and then turbo drops and service engine soon light comes on.engine will still run but no boost.
2. Sometimes the motor will start bucking like something is kicking in and out in out or off.on.off.on. Maybe the light will come on but not always. The bucking will continue by just applying or holding the pedal to the floor. With this going on and if I put the pedal to the floor the truck feels like it hit face on in a wind storm. It will slow down and might be able to do 40 mph and will not stop jerking your head off.

I have to pull over and turn the motor off and restart the engine. This will fix it for ten feet or 50 miles and it starts all over.

EGR valve was cleaned but no luck and unpluged again no luck.

it may be an internal failure of the EGR valve. i had the same issues with my truck. bucking, change in engine tone. have them replace it and try it out. maybe even sticking vanes in the turbo, or a combination of both.

Kind of had the same issue with my 04',truck would change tone,almost silent and then the truck would buck and then poof,brown/white smoke out the rear,I took it in and they cleaned the turbo and replaced the egr and no more bucking and no more smoke,now I just smell coolant lol.One thing after another,good thing I love the truck when it runs.

just another question. I unpluged the egr and it still did the same thing. doesn't that clear the egr of being bad ?

I forgot to mention that when I shut off the engine I can hear like a moan or preasure build up comming from under the hood
