Low Fuel Pressure Issues

My truck developed a leak from the fuel pressure regulator so I figured what better time to install the blue spring and a fuel pressure gauge so today I did just that. I cycled the key three times then fired the truck up and my isspro gauge is reading about 18 PSI at idle. I drove the truck and at WOT the needles drops slightly to about 16 PSI. I quickly checked for leaks and I do not notice any. I am wondering if something could have gone wrong with the blue spring install that is causing this or would a little bit of air cause this? I think tomorrow I am going to remove the isspro sending unit and install a mechanical gauge to verify the pressure before I go any further.

Has anybody else seen this low of pressure from a 6.0 before?

If that pressure is actual it will quickley ruin injectors. You never want to see anything below 45 PSI, but with the blue spring you should never see near that, unless you've gone large on your injectors, and then you will have to upgrade more than just the regulator

Well I put in a mechanical gauge today and I have 70 PSI at idle so something is up with my new isspro gauge. I have a part number from the sending unit and am going to verify I have the correct one. If it is the correct one then I probably have a faulty sending unit. I know either way isspro will take care of me.

Yes ISSPRO will take care of you. I started to have a problem with my HPOP gauge, to where it would make the truck act like a bad ICP sensor. I was in communication with a guy named Mike Pliska. They determined it was a bad harness and sent one out to me free of charge. I love their product, and I love their support

If you used teflon tape make sure none covered the sensor hole. Had that happen on mine and it would hope from 10 to 100.

Sorry, missed this thread until now. Has it done it since the beginning? If so I suspect we sent you the wrong sensor. What is the part number on the sensor?

Thanks,
Michael Pliska
