Long cold crank and Injector Qs.
About two weeks ago I had the truck into Ford for new ball joints. Since I have had it back I noticed it takes a long time to start the truck first thing in morning, even if cold.
Last year I installed a 58 volt FICM from IDP. I suspect I got a 48 volt one because they were swamped with requests at the time. I also have an IDP street tune. 2007 LBCC. Rest of truck is stock @ 106,000 miles. However the CTS does show low FICM voltage in the morning, and I get the code for low voltage.
I am going to send the FICM into swamps for 58 v conversion and tune. Should this fix the issue? Do I also need to look at glow plugs? How long do they usually last?
ICP pressure is around 600 psi at Idle. What should the ICP values read? Are they any other ways to trouble shoot the injectors with the CTS. Other parameters to check, and what they should be. Truck only sees Rotella T6 to help avoid stiction.
Thanks for all help.
