06 6.0l fuel problems

Ok I have a 06 with 123, 000 miles. Friday I changed oil and fuel filters, took off and didn't make it a mile and it sputtered to a stop and didn't want to start. Cycled key several times and after cranking numerous times it finally started. Well made it about a mile and it did the same thing. This happened once more and it continued to run, but everytime I would start to give it a little extra throttle such as going up on ramp it started chugging like it was starved for fuel, if I would cut back it woukd clear up. After dinner it did this same thing when I fueled on it hard, it ended up quitting this time and not restarting, I coukd hear the fuel pump cycling but it did not sound normal. Could I please have some help here. Thank u

Take the fuel filter cap off that is on the engine and cycle the key to see if there is fuel filling the bowl. If not probably the pump, if it is then your going to have to go deeper into the problem.

Do you have a ScanGaugeII or any type of monitoring ??

Motorcraft filters? Both caps on tight? No double o ring? Crack a cap? I bet it's something small. Drain water separator and check for leaks and both caps tight loosen top cap cycle key to prime and get air out.

Thanks guys, yeah I always use motorcraft filters. Havent noticed any leaks but did notice the bottom filter did not want to pop into place as easily as before. This eveni g I will pull the top cap and go from there. Hoping it is just getting air from somewhere. Definately a love hate relationship
