I'm having the same long start issue. Took it to the dealer, but there weren't any codes thrown yet. I was basically told it wasn't a bad enough problem yet, and would have to wait until it got worse for them to track it down and fix. It is mostly just annoying at this time, but I'm still concerned that it could get bad real fast and leave me stranded.

the 20 minutes is probably the default ammount of time the vehical will run on the remote start. IT's so if you forgot you started the vehical it won't run until it runs out of fuel

Is that because the glow plugs draw the voltage down to 11 volts for like 2 minutes after you start and the autostart is looking for 12v?

injector harness or tach?? please elaborate. There is a TSB about this with remote starts.
Something to do with need a tach signal amplifier.....

Intermittent Unsuccessful Remote Start and/or Stall After Remote Start:
Some trucks may exhibit a no start condition when using a remote start system. Or, the the engine may start and run for up to five seconds then stall. The start/stall condition may repeat itself up to four times without operator input. The technician should contact the Ford Remote Start Technical Hotline for diagnostic assistance. A tach signal booster, P/N 102818-2, may be needed. Broadcast Message 1722.
