Recall notice and Hypertech PCM

I have a Hypertech PCM installed in my truck. As far as I know, installing this tuner does not void any warranty on the truck.

I've taken it in to the dealer for an oil leak (the leak has been going on since I had 72 miles on it - I now have 51,000 miles and 12 different visits to 3 different dealerships).

Any rate - the service writer said that I have a recall notice on my truck, but it'll screw up my hypertech if he installs it and that the DMV shouldn't let me renew the registration unless it's done. He's not worried that the hypertech is installed, but does anyone know about this recall?

It's probably the latest reflash which deals with helps prevent sticking injectors and improves cold restarts. You should remove your hypertech and let them reprogram your truck. Give Hypertech a call and they should be able to fix you up if you have any problems.
