6.0 fuel issuse?

I have a 05' 6.0 that wouldn't start this morning. After 2 hours it finally started. It idles fine but when I rev it up any above 1200, it just jump up and down, puffs black smoke and will not run steady. It will not even go over 5 mph. Is this a sign of a clogged fuel filter?

Not likely. Have any way to read codes? I'd pull the EGR valve and see what it looks like.

The no-start sticky covers all the bases!

What parameters are you seeing on a monitor or codes?
FICM volts pre-start, during crank and running?
ICP/IPR?

Based on the puffs of smoke, it sounds like an injector issue. However, if you haven't changed them in a year, then by all means change your all your filters.

More than likely a buzz, contribution and balance test will determine which injectors are bad. Unless you own an IDS or AE or buy one, you will need to get it to a shop, if it is injector related.

I must have the egr deleted bc there seems to be what looks like a blocking plate where it use to be bc there are no wires going to it. Would injectors slowly go or is it an all at once thing?
