Low Fuel Pressure

Heres a little back story. Ive been having a hard starting issue mostly after it sits for a couple of hours in my '04 Ex. It doesnt matter hot, cold, or plugged in. So I installed a BPD fuel filter cap and checked the pressure. At idle, im running about 42 psi. I put a blue-spring kit in a couple of months ago to see if it would help. It didnt. I then moved the cap over to my '04 F-350 service truck and im getting over 60. The fuel pump in it is about 4 months old. Could there be anything else other than the pump that im missing.

Ive been doing some research on AirDogII fuel pumps. Whats the word out there on them? Do you guys like them? Currently the Excursion is stock other than a 6-Gun, but when the money allows I want to do injectors and turbo. Opinions? I dont really want to spend the $300 on a pump but I also dont want to just throw it away when I upgrade to an AirDog.
