Just Bought a 6.0

After reading all of the horror stories and looking at all of upgrade parts for these motors where would a good place to start.

1. guages to monitor the difference between your engine oil temp, and engine coolant temp.

coolant filter if your guages say there is no more then 15 degree difference between the two.

good idea to change the oil/ oil filter with ford OEM. and change the fuel filters with ford oem.

hopefully your temps are good and most likely they will. you want to make sure your engine coolant temp ECT and engine oil temp EOT are no more then 15 degrees apart once engine is fully warmed up. try and find a used edge cts/ cs guage that plugs in your obd2 port under the steering wheel.

depending on money you want to put in and smog requirements.... other will chime in. good luck and

guages/monitor ( i recommend the SCT livewire ts cause its two birds with one stone, it tunes too).. coolant filter is a cheap placce to start, and a switch over to EC-1 rated ELC coolant.. if you can in time, bigger turbo back exhaust to lower egts and an egr delete just to keep yourself safe
