Blue Smoke Problem Worse!!
Got my truck back from Dealership and the smoke problem is worse, Much worse!
I had a problem of blue smoke on take off from a stop or after slowing down and making a turn. Before it was a puff now its a cloud! The truck is the 05 F350 6.0 6sp. only mods are Air Raid intake and strait pipes. They cleaned the CAC and replaced the EGR valve, the first one failed after cleaned, and updated the PCM. Asked at another dealer and the tech asked if I get fuel at the same place every time, which I usually get at local Wal Mart. Next time I will go somewhere else and try their fuel. The truck now has more power which I would say was the PCM upgrade. The truck only has 27,600 miles. My dealer said to put the factory air intake back on and try, the second dealer which sold me the Air Raid said they have several customers who have the same intake and no problems. What else could be the problem? If injectors would'nt it run rough? |

I would try different fuel, Ive heard several people say theyve had problems with Walmart fuel. If it was the injectors, you would tink it might have a miss or power loss.

Yeh I thought that too about the injectors.

unplugg the stupid egr...it will cause you nothing but problems....i haven't puffed smoke taking off from a light since the day i unplugged mine...i will delete the egr this summer. i would suggest you delete it as well. Make sure you turn off the truck before you unplug it.

Just an update on my problem. I have not yet unplugged the EGR, I have been getting fuel from a different station and havent noticed the smoke yet. The tempature has been cold and windy which makes it hard to see so I cant be for sure yet if it was the fuel or not. Will update when I know more.
