PCM flash killed my power and MPG

2005 6.0 F250 I took it to the Ford Dealer 2 weeks ago and they flashed it due to a PCM update recall.

Now I have lost a ton of power and the MPG has dropped to single digits.
Anyone else had this come up?

Dealer says that there is nothing they can do, it is what it is and there is no going back to the previous PCM.

Any advise?
Thanks

?

Hi Doug, so did the dealer offer any fix or other way to get back to what it was before?

Did they have info as to why they had to do the PCM flash?

All they have had to say is we can't do any thing about it.
My MPG's dropped way down when pulling the RV.

Yeah, my dealer wouldn't even troubleshoot my truck when the mileage dropped way down. They said since the mileage isn't rated by the EPA, there's nothing they could do even though I dropped from 17-18 highway to 11-12. I ended up taking the EGR apart and cleaned it myself. That's what my problem was. I know yours is not the same problem, but it really pissed me off that the dealer didn't care.

Have you considered getting a programmer for yours? That way the stock PCM flash wouldn't make any difference. You could just tun a mild economy tune so you wouldn't need to do other mods, unless you want to.

make sure to send a big thank you card to Ford engineers for detuning the truck you paid big bucks for. I think your milage will come back though because I think they have to erase your kam when they flash your truck.

They used the word (reflash) when talking about what they did to it.

I had my truck reflashed last week along with a new EGR valve and now have more power than I have ever had. As for the MPG, dont know yet. Also helped the cold starting.
