Rough Idle when cold no power and white smoke until it warms up?

I have a 2003 F-250 6.0 PSD. All that is done to it is an Airaid cod air intake. When it is pretty cold out (35 and below) it has a very rough idle and now power. It also will blow white smoke if you do not let it warm up. Last evning i found the plug to the engine heater and pluggedthe truck in.. It didnt really idle as rough, But it still blew some smoke and had no power. What do you think my problem is. Any information would help.

Thanks

well if the truck has over 36000 miles on it ford doesnt pay for the reprogram anyway so that doesnt matter, the reprogram is only done under the base warranty, if after that you will have to pay anyway
