03 6.0 will not scan

Hello all i have a 03 6.0 with 115000 miles on it it came to my shop cause it has a real bad miss well when i went to scan it with my snapon mt2500 the scanner will just show a error so i checked the cigeret lighter cirket i am getting power from the obd 2 port but it will not let me scan also whe you start this truck cold it has a bad miss until it gets warmed up then it gets a little better but overall runs like crap any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmmmm. I talked to SCT today and was told that some dealers are disabling the OBD2 port to disuade tampering. I wonder if ??

Well i got a alldata scimatic and acording to that and my voltmeter the pig tail is wired properly i am wondering if it is a problem with the pcm that could also cause the runing problem

The MT2500 is the older "brick" scanner? If so that's what I have, I can't remember which years this covers, but I had to get the CAN-1B adapter to read my '07. May not be your problem, just a thought.

your scanner has to be can capable, as far as your runing problem you need to take it to ford with nothing in the pcm as far as a chip and have them reprogram it to the latest calibration , that will fix it

Thanks for all the help i did finally get in the computer today but no codes so i am passing this one on to the dealler i have read of this flash what version should i have put in it

you cant tell hem what flash you want , the dealer should be at the latest level , just tell them you want to get it reprogrammed
