Does coolant type matter w/bpd oil cooler

Without the factory oil cooler to clog up, can I run regular diesel coolant?I am having a problem finding elc ec-1 in west Texas.

You'll be fine if you run the Ford Gold.

I run the BPD oil cooler and I still switched to Zerex HD, ZXEDRU1, because overall its gonna be better for your engine, being a diesel, and you dont have to worry about messin around with adding SCA's and testing it every so often. Any NAPA should be able to get it in for you, thats what I ended up doing. NAPA AUTO PARTS | FIND A PRODUCT

I would also install a coolant filter.

I would still like what International runs in this engine, the EC-1, but it takes away the biggest objection to Ford Gold.
Remember you need concentrate, not premix, for the initial swap.

As idahoser stated, anything that is EC-1 rated. Is the rotella? I went went with the Zerex because it stated it was approved for International
