Higher EGT after headgaskets?

Hey marc, maybe just the gauge but my exhaust temps have been running 100+ hotter than they where prior to headgasket replacement. Always ran 600-700 now 700-800 and it seems to hit 1000+ much more than before. I ran the same gauge on both probes and they tell me the probes are fine. Trucks running better than ever,(guess you'll have that when the heads are bolted down!LOL!)just wonderin if I havent caused another problem. thanks

my best guess is you were not getting as much heat before because of the exhaust gas entering the cooling system instead of the manifold.....
