Weird Turbo Sound

I have a '03 F250 with 6.0. Whenever I build up boost, and then let off throttle, it is making a weird loud bleed off noise through the air filter. Just started last night. Any ideas?

Its not the chug chug chug noise or turbo fart? Somethin different?

My guess. Your turbo vanes are sticking, causing an overboost. Pull the turbo and inspect/clean it.

Yes, it's the chug chug chug noise that I have heard on turbo cars at the dragstrip. It s my friends truck and he said that it has never done it before yesterday. Thank You. Scott.

Another guy that we work with suggested dirty vanes too. Just wanted to post it on here because I wanted some more opinions. Thank you . Scott.

He fixed the problem. Vanes were sticking. He had access to another turbo,so just put the other turbo on. Thanks for your help everyone. Scott.
