Anybody Want To Guess What This Is?
I already know what it is. I just want to see if yall know what it is.
I found this in my oil pan on my brand new motor only after 3000 miles. I'm going in it tomorrow to see if it was just an extra left in the motor while remaning it or I'm just really lucky and it is held together by the other half. If you know what it is, you know I'm only the other half from grenading the engine. Making a warranty claim would put me back another three weeks, so I'll just do the repair if needed. ![]()

Now that is a valve spring keeper. Now you just have to pull the valve covers and see which one is missing a keeper.

Yeah I said I was going to do it today, but had a family emergency. So first thing in the morning the valve covers are coming off. Starting with the passenger side.
I shouldn't be having any problems with a new motor. First a crack in the oil pan, then a broken water pump now this BS. What next? I guess it could be worst, like the valve dropping in the cylinder which didn't happen or Ford would be putting ANOTHER motor in on their dime this time. |
