03 6.0l problems

Having some issues with the truck that I have. It starts then stalls almost every time I park it with the nose up or level. Usually stalls 3 times. However, if the nose is down it starts and runs fine. Temp doesnt matter. Is there a check valve in the fuel system that could be the culprit? Its been doing that for months. Also am leaking oil from under the turbo area. I think that is the ICP. Had it replaced at Ford in Nov '06. That started a couple weeks ago. Now today it started missing at idle when I came to a stop after a 30 min drive. Brought it home and let it sit for 4 to 5 hours and it started right up with no missing. Any help please

Change your ICP sensor and get back to us. I wouldn't even try to diagnose an 03 without first replacing a leaking ICP, they can do some weird stuff.

I've seen repeat leaks in less than a year with these sensors, you'd think they'd know how to make them by now but apparently not.

Re: 03 6.0l problems

I replaced mine with a late model icp, hoping that helps.

Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get.

My truck is an early '04, I found an oem 05-07 icp on ebay for $68. Works fine. I put in an automatic search on the ebay app, an wait for the best price.

I've heard that you should only use a Ford ICP. Is this true. I checked with my local Dealer. They want $169 for the ICP and $87 for the pig tail. I found both on Ebay for $59. Ford parts from Turkey??? Is that too good to be true?

Wondering if he has a low pressure oil pump issue ? does your oil pressure gauge hold steady on the dash setup? Does it run fine during acceleration?
Just strange on the nose down thing. post up how the icp does, hope it's that simple.

Would not be surprised if Turkey is making their parts, if southend is using them I would get it from e-bay.

Re: 03 6.0l problems

I made sure the listing specifically indicated a ford part number with the original box, there are many icp sensors on ebay that are not ford oem.

Thanks for the replies. In response to MHATLEN, The oil pressure guage always reads good. The truck runs great at all throttle positions. Except for that missing problem I had the other day. We'll see if that comes back today on my way to work.
